The Werewolf in folklore and mythology is a person who changes into a
wolf, either by purposefully using magic or by being placed under a curse. The
change may be limited to when the moon is full. Some retain a semblance of
human form after the change, others do not. They are normally savage, powerful
beasts with a overwhelming taste for human flesh. They are strong, quick, and
hard to kill.
Most modern references agree that a werewolf can be killed if shot by a silver bullet. Werewolves are sometimes held to become vampires after death. The term is sometimes spelled Wahrwolf and the process called lycanthropy. When artists want to draw pictures of a Werewolf they make the upper body large and exaggerate the facial features of a wolf. |
